32 weeks! OB checkup this week + mom and Brooke are in Alabama.
At 32 weeks, Baby is the size of a…
Plastic scooter board (the kind you used to sit on and ride during elementary school gym hour)
She’s anywhere from 3.5-4.5 pounds this week, and she’s measuring anywhere between 16″ long and 19″ long.
Here’s her hand size at 32 weeks:
And her foot:
And of me!
During week 32, I was in Alabama with my mom, which I love.
GAH I just LOVE it when she’s down here with me!
Since Alabama is a sweltering pot of fiery death, we stayed indoors 98% of the time.
Sometimes we arranged baby things, sometimes we went through baby things, and sometimes we watched Netflix.
Sometimes we went shopping, sometimes we cuddled baby Rucker, and sometimes we ate food.
We ate a lot of food.
Baby is just so HUNGRY these days.
The crazy thing is that I am not limiting my caloric intake at ALL, and yet I am not blowing up like a balloon. Baby just really needs those calories, apparently.
I am sitting on my butt a LOT though.
It doesn’t take much to remove the wind from my sails these days.
Usually something like waking up for the day will do it.
We literally sat on our butts all week long. Sometimes we got up to do things, but mostly we indulged ourselves in Netflix binges.
It was amazing!
Look at this cute picture of baby Rucker all tucked in on Husband’s pillow:
During week 32, Husband and I went to dinner to celebrate our 2-year anniversary, too. I love him.
Also during week 32, that solar eclipse thing happened, so Husband and I stood outside and stared at the sun like the
stupid fearless viewers we are. But, hey! We weren’t alone! Everyone else was doing it, too! Neighbors were all outside staring at the sky without eye protection.
Husband: “You look very pregnant.”
So, week 32 = another trip to my OB!
I am officially up 25 pounds at the end of week 32 of my pregnancy, which is pretty good, if you ask me. I’ve been putting on weight quite rapidly lately after about a month of zero gains, but I suppose that’s to be expected at this time. It’s also probably related to my increasingly insatiable appetite.
I am almost done being pregnant. Then, it’s Whip Body Back Into Shape Time!
So, my OB checkup was just a standard checkup.
Nothing exciting. Seriously. I was weighed and the baby’s heartbeat was documented and we were sent on our way.
I also had to get my blood drawn because apparently Syphilis is on the rise in Alabama and they want to test mothers before pregnancy, at 32 weeks, and at the end of pregnancy.
Either way, we were in and out of that OB office pretty quickly.
After my appointment, my mother and I went shopping because we needed to kill some time because I had an appointment that afternoon to get a………
3D/4D ULTRASOUND SCAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT WAS THE MOST THRILLING, LIFE-CHANGING THING I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED AND I CANNOT RECOMMEND GETTING A 3D/4D SCAN ENOUGH.
I know you’re dying to see some photos, but since it’s almost the end of the day today and since you KNOW I am going to gush and gush about the AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING scan we had and how ABSOLUTELY TO-DIE-FOR ADORABLE OUR BABY GIRL IS, I’d like to save all of that writing for week 33’s post.
But, remember, I’m leaving for Michigan tomorrow with my mom.
Which means you won’t be hearing from me for a few weeks, since we’ll be in Michigan for almost two weeks.
So, post delays. Again.
But the wait will be SO WORTH IT BECAUSE WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THESE PICTURES OF MY BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL!!!!!!!
My GOD is she cute.
I finally understand why parents are so obsessed with their children.
I will leave you on that exciting note!
Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss my week 33 post which will be FILLED with 3D/4D ultrasound photos!!!!!!! ♥
